Sketch

Its really been a while that I sketch and draw. So i decided to give a try over at the MAAD Ilustration Workshop. Got some advice from the organiser/illustrator that I have to try to draw or sketch in one single stroke, that is to train your obseravtion skill and also your confidence. I also realised that I liked pen/draft pen sketching compared to pencil sketching. Practice makes perfect.

Keep it simple and making it work!

I have realised sometimes besides keeping it simple (ideas & execution), you got to make the simple things work. And to make it work well, you got to have the knowledge, expertise, experience, patience and meticulous craftsmanship to see it thru.

Essential Hypertension

This is not essential at all I can tell you. It means you have got borderline high blood pressure and there is no reason to why I have it... maybe its the diet.

Ignorance has no cure too

There is this saying "Stupidity has no cure!". We met two men (who happened to be father and son), they asked the most irrelevant and ignorant questions, they are full of themselves, live in their own world and they think they know eveything. They need to see, hear and educate themselves about the industry and not humiliate themselves. So what if you are of senior level or management level in your daily work environment, you don't earn my respect from the way you conduct yourself, you don't go around imposing yourself into people's life just because you are more than half a century old, I expect you to be humble and wise. Its a blessing that we are brought up well to respect the elderly, we just smile and brush off all irrelevant questions, they are rude to us doesn't mean we have to be rude to them. It made us conclude one thing that Ignorance (like stupidity) has no cure too! What's worst? Like father, like son.

Roadblock!

Am thinking of designing shoes but have no idea how am i going to produce and manufacture it? I have not been able to find an answer to this and it is a major roadblock.

Stagmont Camp

Its been 8 years since I left Stagmont Camp. Today I'm back there for lesson. Had a lot of memories in the camp, only those who were with me there during my 2 years stay had a lot to share. Except for a few regulars who either volunteerily stayed there or just don't want to leave at all, the rest of the people in the camp are made up of the younger batch now.

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids, i would prefer to list the medical term here than to tell you what it actually is (go find out yourself). Anyway according to doctors it is quite common among men. It did give me some problem and I have gotten rid of it. Don't ever try to tell me how painful pain feels like... Hey, remember I sent my cat Ginger for sterilisation? somehow it seems like it is a retribution...

Priceless!

Searched thru old albums for pictures of our childhood. I found these, me and my bro playing together (anyway only 2 of us). My dad, my mom and the time we spent together, PRICELESS!!! nothing can ever replace this!

Balloting sucks! Luck and patience prevails!

I never had luck with the balloting system. I thought that me being wanting to stay near my parents will be a priority and also we are newly wed, that will be an added advantage. The day I received the "Sorry to inform you.." letter, I feel like burning the plot of land that was intended for the flats. Then again I think im lucky to be able to purchase the flat i wanted when there was a walk-in exercise. It was pure luck, trust me. If i hadn't gone to check it out while on my way home (told you my parents' place was near) I would have miss it (again), that night I got myself a queue number for the next day walk-in exercise. And that was it, we signed on the dotted line the next day and we have gotten ourslves a brand new 5 rooms flat ready by end 2009. :) I wanted this place so badly since the day they announced that there are new flats in my area. This is a load off our mind as we do not want to move too far away from our parents.

Its not the same anymore...

Poor Ginger, he was traumatised after his operation over the weekend. We thought that it was best for him and for us, if not he will start to scratch, screamed, meowed in the middle of the night or try to mark his territories all over the house. He's not the same anymore after the op, not as active, not as playful and kept himself away from us. He would hide underneath the bed and only come out when necessary; to eat or to answer nature's call. He used to come looking for us to either play or to ask for food. I think he's afraid of me, i think he remembered I am the one who brought him to the vet. Hope he will get over it, I missed my playful Ginger...

Serial Killer!

BUDGET is a serial killer! It is the most wanted (when you need it to produce a piece of work) and also the most unwanted (don't want to hear it as the deciding factor in producing a piece of work). This is a tough case to crack... Sometimes I wonder does attitude and being stubborn helps?

Walk a Dog

'Zou Gou' (Traitor) translated chinese/mandarin. Just when you thought your dog will be loyal to you, they will just surprised you by leaving you in the lurch. Think again when you say dogs are a man's best friend. If he can betray one because of you, he can betray you too, its just a matter of time. Well, its a dog eat dog world anyway...
